Position Summary

The Marketing Director is responsible for planning, developing, and executing marketing strategies that support the DT Scarborough Group family of companies. This role oversees brand management, digital marketing, advertising, content development, lead generation, and customer communications while ensuring each business maintains a consistent and professional brand presence.

The Marketing Director partners with leadership to support company growth, strengthen market awareness, generate qualified leads, and oversee marketing initiatives across residential service, commercial construction, manufacturing, and related business operations.


Business Units Supported

The Marketing Director provides marketing support for the following companies:

  • MPE Services – Residential HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, Indoor Air Quality, Water Filtration, Duct Cleaning, and Whole Home Generators.
  • Shoals MPE – Commercial construction and project-based HVAC, Plumbing, and Electrical services.
  • LED Stick Company – Commercial and industrial LED lighting manufacturing and distribution.
  • Gist Service Company – Residential HVAC.

Marketing priorities may shift based on business needs, seasonal demand, and organizational objectives.


Essential Responsibilities

Marketing Strategy

  • Develop and implement annual marketing plans and seasonal campaigns.
  • Manage marketing budgets and advertising initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities to increase brand awareness and generate qualified leads.
  • Monitor campaign performance and recommend improvements.

Brand Management

  • Maintain brand standards across all supported companies.
  • Ensure consistency in messaging, visual identity, and customer communications.
  • Oversee marketing materials and promotional assets.

Digital Marketing

  • Manage digital advertising campaigns, including Google Ads and social media advertising.
  • Oversee SEO, local search visibility, website optimization, and analytics.
  • Track key performance indicators and marketing effectiveness.

Website & Content Management

  • Maintain company websites with updated service information and promotional content.
  • Coordinate landing pages, blogs, and online resources.
  • Create written and visual content for digital and print marketing.

Social Media & Communications

  • Develop social media content calendars.
  • Coordinate photography, video, and promotional campaigns.
  • Manage customer communications, email marketing, and public announcements.

Creative & Promotional Materials

  • Coordinate the development of advertisements, brochures, direct mail, signage, trade show materials, branded apparel, and other marketing collateral.

Vendor & Community Relations

  • Work with advertising partners, media outlets, printers, and promotional vendors.
  • Coordinate sponsorships, community events, and public relations opportunities.

Marketing Analytics

  • Monitor website traffic, lead generation, advertising performance, and campaign ROI.
  • Prepare reports and recommendations for leadership.

Collaboration

The Marketing Director works closely with:

  • Executive Leadership

  • Sales
  • Customer Service
  • Human Resources
  • Outside marketing vendors and agencies

to ensure marketing initiatives align with company objectives.


Qualifications

  • Experience in marketing, communications, advertising, or related field.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Experience with digital advertising and social media platforms.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with website content management and marketing analytics.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and common marketing software platforms.

Preferred Experience

  • Google Ads and Google Analytics
  • SEO and local search optimization
  • Graphic design platforms (Canva or Adobe Creative Suite)
  • Website content management systems (Squarespace)
  • CRM and marketing automation platforms
  • Photography and video content coordination
  • Experience supporting service-based, commercial, or manufacturing organizations
